Sella del Verdin

Sella del Verdin is a beautiful place in the north of Lombardy region, to get there the car has to be left in Cermini, a tiny village reachable only by a narrow road.However, this spot, is the perfect example on how papers might mislead unexperienced hikers.

Checking the maps, the trek seems quite easy but we highly recommend to ask to BBOI team for some more information.The path, especially on the last part, is so steeply and characterized by the presence of rocks which sometimes must be climbed. The mountain, Dosso Mottone ( 1.909 mt high ), has indeed steep sides and its rock gorges fall straight in the bottom of the visible ‘ Pesciadello Valley ‘.

Once the peak of Dosso Mottone is finally behind our back, in few minutes it is possible to get to Alpe Cima, a very special group of little shelters, used in the past by shepherds. After a quick break, we keep going along the path which becomes now quite narrow and goes through the steepest flank of the valley. On this passage is required the highest level of attention.

Safely passed our last hurdle, we finally reach the final head of ‘Pesciadello Valley‘ and on the other side of the pass you may see the beautiful ‘ Forcola Valley ‘ and its beautiful Pizasc peak.

The landscape here is simply breathtaking!
