Rifugio Quntino Sella al Felik

If you are looking for a fantastic but very hard experience in a pristine and harsh environment, you cannot miss Rifugio Quintino Sella. This shelter is located at the foot of glaciers of Monte Rosa and believe us when we at BBofItaly say that this environment is unique and staggering.

The path to get Rifugio Quntino Sella is very hard. First its part is not that difficult but the middle one is very steep and you must move on big stones. So walking on this kind of terrain is not easy and furthermore it is difficult to keep the right direction.

At the end of this challenging stretch, you get the top of a huge spur and from this point a long ridge starts. The path tooled with safety ropes wings along this ridge on big overhangs, so it is very spectacular but also very dangerous.

Eventually after a great deal of effort, you arrive at Rifugio Quintino Sella 3585 meters high and just behind it a huge glaciers to Punta Felik (4174 meters high) begins, named Felik glacier.

In front of you from left to right there are these main peaks belonging to Monte Rosa range: Breithorn Occidentale (4164 meters high), Breithorn Centrale (4159 meters high), Breithorn Orientale (4139 meters high), Polluce (4092 meters high), Castor (4228 meters), Lyskamm Occidentale (4479 meters high), Lyskamm Orientale (4527 meters high), Naso del Lyskamm (4272 meters high),  Piramide Vincent (4215 meters high), Balmenhorn (4167 meters high).
