Passo della Crocetta

Of course it is always wonderful to go to mountains for some hikes during summer season with a fantastic blue sky and landscapes, but fall season can hide something even better especially if the surrounding environment is very lonely and rocky.

Hence if you want to live an unforgettable experience, you have to visit Val Bodengo and especially Passo della Crocetta.

This valley is truly lonely and you can hike all day without meeting anyone. Passo della Crocetta is located at the end of Val Bodengo, on the ridge – watershed that divides the valley with Val Darengo.

Don’t imagine Passo della Crocetta like a green and grassy pass, but think of a very narrow crack among rocky peaks, hence something unbelievable that can strike your imagination and make hairs stand up on your back neck.

Passo della Crocetta is truly embedded in a “rocky world”. Val Bodengo is in fact frequently hit by thunderstorms with consequent large landslides that always cause big boulders to roll down from mountain vertical slopes. A “rocky world” that appears magical, impenetrable and mysterious, when shrouded by clouds and fog as in autumn season.

If you are immersed in such an environment like that, hiking with a true friend, you can feel the depth of friendship because strong nature always amplifies feelings that during normal daily life are normally sleeping inside our heart.
