Parlasco and surroundings

Parlasco and Lago di Como are two sites in Lombardia region that must be visited. The first is located in Valsassina under Pizzi di Parlasco, a mountain in the Grigna chain.

Pizzi di Parlasco is not so high but very beautiful and going up from Parlasco village the path to get its top is very difficult.

From Parlasco it is possible to follow the road that goes on the other side of Grigna chain towards Esino Lario village. On this road designed by Pietro Pensa engineer very famous in that area in the past, a gorgeous landscape on Lago di Como can be observed. This lake completely surrounded by mountains, has a particular upside down “Y” shape and because of this, it is impossible to have its complete and panoramic view.

From Lecco city it is possible to get the road that runs through Valsassina, and when the Cortenova village has been reached, a secondary road goes up to Parlasco. This very quiet hamlet is characterized by its tiny church and several frescoes done by different artists on the walls of ancient houses.

In Valsassina the Introbio village is located. Here there is a beautiful and well maintained castle, nowadays used as town hall. The origins of this building is dated first years of XX century, when powerful families from Milano wanted to transform Valsassina in a rich and touristic valley.

Let’s now spend only two words about the motorcycle used for this trip. Of course it is an Italian motorcycle, precisely a Ducati one. This model has been produced in 1991 so it is very old, but still fantastic and perfectly maintained. Ride this sporty motorcycle is a unique experience. No electronic to manage the vehicle dynamic and a fantastic sound from the exhaust and intake system ! Something that must be tried !

Please do not hesitate to ask us for more info on how to experience this beautiful destination !
