Parco Sigurtà - Veneto
A place we were after for a long time ! Parco Sigurtà (Sigurtà Park) is located close to Borghetto – Verona district, Veneto region. It is rated as the most beautiful park in Italy and indeed it is.
Borghetto is a rare hamlet for its beauty and it is crossed by the Mincio river. It is like a small but precious jewel which borders the incredible and huge Sigurtà Park. As you can imagine this park is daily preserved and treated by a little army of gardener.
The best period to visit the park is definitely spring when flowers bloom, and the fall season when leaves on trees change their color.
Castlello Scaligero (Scaligero Castle) overhangs Borghetto and Parco Sigurtà, creating one of the most gorgeous Italian corner. First evidences of this building date back to the Middle Age – X century. Something you cannot miss !
