Colle del Nivolet Pass

BBOI’s team proposes this breathtaking alpine pass, if you are searching for extraordinary pics and pleasant curves, this is the right place!

Colle del Nivolet pass is situated in Alpi Graie, exactly between Orco Valley in Piemonte and Valsavarenche in Aosta Valley. We are in National Park of Gran Paradiso, the pass starts from Ceresole Reale, more or less from the Ceresole Lake.

At the beginning of the pass you can find a big dam, called Serrù Lake, as you can see in the pictures description; after some curves you will run across another lake, called Agnel, sourrounded by high mountains and a stunning view. .

Getting higher, hairpin after hairpin, the landscape becomes even more amazing. At the highest part of it you will be able to see the road, the initial dam, the following smaller lake and the whole mountain chain behind!

If you continue to cross the pass, you are able to see Valsavareche. From there it is not possible to go on, except by foot, so if you want to enjoy this spectacular view, then you have to go up from Piemonte by car/motorcycle/bike or by foot from Pont Valsavarenche.

This pass is one of the favourite one by italians, we highly recommend it! Orco Valley also offers the opportunity to have lunch in one of their local restaurants. If you are a motorcycle enthusiast, you will truly love this bendy road!
