Malga del Toro - Trentino Alto Adige

A very simple hike only just to relax in a gorgeous site, encompassed by high mountains with fantastic glaciers. This is what you can have if you want to visit Malga del Toro.

In Italian language Malga means a shelter located at high altitudes, where shepherds spend their summer looking after cows along pastures and treating milk to produce very tasty cheeses.

When a tourist visits a Malga, shepherds are usually always happy to have a chat and offer some cheese to eat for few money, and what a fantastic experience in a beautiful environment, like a paradise. So don’t miss Malga del Toro !

This site perched in Val Razoi, is close to Solda, a village near the border between Lombardia region and Trentino – Alto Adige region. It is also close to the national border with Switzerland and not so far from the Austrian one.

Solda is in the Stelvio National Park and it is at an altitude of 1840 meters above the sea level. This territory is dominated by three huge and fantastic mountains covered with glaciers: Ortles (3905 meters high), Gran Zebrù (3851 meters high), Cevedale (3769 meters high).

So as you can imagine, the Alpine village is encompassed by a very harsh, powerful and unspoiled nature, able to leave you amazed.

From Malga del Toro the landscape is gorgeous. There you can observe the fantastic Ortles and Gran Zebrù mountains and also Cima di Solda (3376 meters) in the backgroud.
