La Stella

Do you want to make your day with an astonishing experience ? Get La Stella ! This is a beautiful building located on the watershed between Pila area and valley of Cogne in Val d’Aosta region.

The name of “La Stella” – The Star – comes from the shape of the immense balcony of the building, characterized by several corners projected into the empty space towards gorgeous and high peaks. It feels like you can touch them !

Inside the building there is a restaurant and a bar, where you can taste typical local dishes and drink aperitifs accompanied by cured meats and cheeses. The waiters are really kind to the customers.

To get La Stella, you have to take the cable car that leaves from the station located in the city of Aosta. At Pila station you have to change and take a second cable car that takes you directly inside La Stella building. Give or take the journey lasts half an hour.

It has to be underlined that Pila is an area whit many ski tracks, so during the winter season La Stella may be crowded especially during the lunch break. At any rate we at BBofItaly believe that the best time to visit this beautiful place, is late spring, summer and early autumn.
