La colombara

The Portofino promontory offer some of the most magnificent diving sites of Italy. Some of the sites are situated in a protected marine park area that allows to preserve the marine species and always offers a spectacular view.

Colombara site is particularly suitable for cave lovers.

The submerged coastal wall slopes down to a depth of 36 meters, where there is a first cave colonized by magnificent “yellow daisies” (Parazoanthus axinellae) and by branches of red coral.
Going up at a depth of 22 meters, is it possible to find a second cave, while at a depth 10 meters there is a small crack that represents the entrance to another beautiful cave that opens into a splendid amphitheater.
In the various cracks it is possible to meet large morays and curious conger eels
